Huisi
2022-2023
HUISI off-grid eco-cabins have been designed as a recall for people yearning to make a connection with nature and wanting to “do things differently”.
The cabin is conceived as a quiet retreat—a minimal architectural object that dissolves into nature rather than dominating it. Designed for forest and open-field settings alike, the cabin celebrates slowness, simplicity, and ecological sensitivity. Its compact form prioritises essentials: shelter, light, and deep connection to the landscape.
Rather than imposing a new aesthetic on its surroundings, the cabin borrows its palette and character from the environment. Vertical timber slats echo tree trunks; earthy tones merge with soil and rock; and large apertures frame the forest or prairie as a living artwork.
The architectural mix of exterior and interior, effortlessly fulfils any necessity, and serves as a highly adaptable tiny-house retreat, or as a hassle-free weekender, with the ability to be dropped into the most remote locations, or, as a productive working space.
