Old Rectory

Midlands, UK

2023

The Rectory project reimagines a traditional home through a contemporary, highly crafted kitchen and interior concept that brings modern elegance into a heritage setting. The design focuses on enhancing flow, function and atmosphere, introducing a refined spatial clarity that respects the building’s character while elevating it with a fresh, sophisticated aesthetic.

Bespoke joinery forms the foundation of the new scheme — meticulously detailed cabinetry, integrated appliances and a sculptural island create a kitchen that feels both architectural and warm. The palette pairs natural timber with honed stone, soft matte finishes and subtle metal accents, resulting in a space that is tactile, calm and richly layered without overwhelming its historical backdrop.

The redesign extends beyond the kitchen, improving the relationship between adjoining rooms and establishing a cohesive, contemporary language throughout the home. Thoughtfully curated furnishings, modern lighting and discreet functional solutions contribute to an environment that feels quietly luxurious and deeply comfortable.

The Rectory succeeds in harmonising heritage charm with modern refinement, creating interiors that are timeless, beautifully resolved and elegantly suited to contemporary living.
